Solution Deck Template

The meeting after discovery is where deals are actually won: you play back what they told you, show you understood it, and propose a way forward they can picture. This deck is built for exactly that. The first slide after the cover is their words, not your product. The investment slide gives a range, not a price, so the proposal has somewhere to go.

What we heard, and what we'd do about it

A recap of our conversations and the approach Northstar Software recommends.

01

What we heard

In your words, from our last three conversations.

“Reporting eats a day a week.”

Numbers pulled by hand from three systems, every Monday.

“Nobody has the full picture.”

Operations, finance, and sales each see a different version.

“We can't tell what's working.”

Decisions wait on data that arrives weeks late.

02

What success looks like

< 1 hr
Weekly reporting effort
1
Source of truth across teams
Same day
From question to answer

You told us what good looks like by the end of the year. We've built the approach around exactly these three.

03

Our approach

Connect

Your systems feed one place, automatically.

Automate

The Monday report builds itself.

See

Live dashboards for the questions leadership asks.

Adopt

Training and a named partner until it sticks.

04

How it works day to day

  • Nothing new to learn

It runs inside the tools your team already opens.

  • Exceptions, not everything

People see only what needs a decision.

  • Audit trail built in

Every change is logged, so finance stops asking.

05

See it in two minutes

A walkthrough of the core workflow, recorded for Northwind Logistics.

06

Proof it works

02
Weeks 2–4

Pilot

One team, one report, measured.

[$XX–XXk]
Per year, all-in, for [N] seats

What that includes

09

Next steps

  1. 1

    Stakeholder session

30 minutes with the people who'd own the rollout.

  2. 2

    Priced proposal

Within two days of that session.

Northstar SoftwareMade with Deckd

A live render of this template with a sample deal — not a mockup. Your version uses your brand, pricing, and proof.

Who this template is for

  • Second and third meetings, once discovery is done
  • Multi-stakeholder deals where new people join the room
  • Teams tired of presenting the same 'overview' deck to every prospect
Where the AI comes in

Deck'd drafts the 'what we heard' slide from your call notes, matches the proof slide from your library, and keeps the range slide consistent with your pricing catalog. The deck and the proposal that follows come from the same deal record, so nothing drifts between meetings.

What's inside

The slides, and the job each one does

01

What we heard

Three things the buyer said, quoted. The slide that makes the room nod before you've pitched anything.

02

What success looks like

Their goals as three numbers. You're agreeing on the finish line before describing the route.

03

Our approach

Four moves on a dotted grid. Capabilities appear only as answers to what they said.

04

How it works & see it

A day-in-the-life split, then a dark video slide for the two-minute walkthrough.

05

Proof

One customer like them on a brand band, two results, one quote.

06

What it takes & investment

A three-phase strip and an honest range with what's included, setting up the priced proposal.

07

Next steps

Stakeholder session, priced proposal, pilot. One ask, one button.

FAQ

What should a solution deck include?
The buyer's situation in their words, what success looks like, your approach mapped to their problems, proof from a similar customer, what the rollout takes, and a clear next step. Leave company history out entirely.
Should I show pricing in the solution deck?
A range, with what's included, so budget conversations start before the proposal. Exact pricing belongs in the proposal, where it can be framed against value and shown as options.
How many slides?
Ten is the ceiling for a working session. This template holds it there; each slide carries one idea and fits a screen without scrolling.
